Tingly army feeling

Hello.

We're about 2 months from decamping from Ft. Sill to Ft. Stewart. Being a thousand miles or more from our families - plus a possible deployment to Afghanistan in the mix - I figured I better get us online so we can keep in touch and up to date.

And the Marne? It's the nickname for the 3rd ID (Infantry Division), which is headquartered at Fort Stewart, GA. I had to ask Eric - Marne was a battle in France during WWI, Sept 5-12, 1914. Who knew?

And the tingley army feeling is what Eric said he got when he got notice that we were going to Ft. Stewart. I have to admit, Hinesville (the little town outside of Ft. Stewart) doesn't seem like a dream come true (population 30,000 - I've never lived in any place that small before. Talk about culture shock). But I am looking forward to going someplace new. Someplace where I can re-invent myself. No one knows me. If I want to be a girly girl, or a stepford wife, or a rabid liberal, this is my chance to try something new. So I am excited about the move.

Just those pesky details like moving getting in the way.
